Mielie Bread

Great for Braais. Delicious with loads of butter!


  • 1 can Creamed Sweetcorn
  • 50g butter
  • ¼ cup warm milk
  • 2 eggs whisked
  • 2 ½ cups self raising flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 2tsp chilli flakes.


  • Spray n Cook a bread loaf tin well. Whisk the sweetcorn, butter, milk and eggs in a bowl until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, paprika and chilli flakes well.
  • Make a well in the middle and pour the sweetcorn mixture.
  • Stir with a wooden spoon until well mixed and spoon into the loaf tin.
  • Bake for 45 mins in an 180C oven.
  • Use a skewer to check if it’s cooked properly and then leave it in the tin until cooled down.

Slice and serve with butter and ENJOY !
