Beer Bird

The BEST ever ‘roast’ chicken done on the Weber.
The Beer Bird stand is available at most larger Stores. We bought ours from Game, but you could try the likes of Makro and Bulders.


  • 1 X Whole chicken (without Giblets)
  • Olive Oil
  • Chicken Spice
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Dessert spoon of Crushed Garlic
  • ¾ of  Can of beer of your choice.


  • Rub the whole chicken well with Olive Oil
  • Add chicken spice, cayenne pepper, salt & pepper – in fact any spices you wish and rub over well.
  • Add about a dessert spoon of crushed garlic into the cavity of the chicken.
  • Puh the 3/4 can of beer into the cavity of the chicken. (If you don’t have the Beerbird stand, you can just put the chicken on flat foil)
  • Gently place the chicken in the Weber and cook on medium coals until cooked and very crispy – about an hour.

This is the BEST ever chicken as the outside is crispy and the meat is absolutely succulent with a slightly smoked flavour. Great for our hot summer evenings
